One loop taking in the Ciutadella, the marina and the edge of the old town. It is the ride nearly everyone books first, and the one with the most riders behind it.
Barceloneta and the port
Boardwalk, beach and the Olympic marina, all on level ground. If anyone in the group is nervous about the machine, this is the route that settles them.
Old lanes, cobbles and all

Weight limits, minimum ages and the shoes you turn up in.
Every operator sets a rider weight floor and ceiling and a minimum age, and both vary by city, so check them before you pay for a family. Closed shoes are standard, a helmet normally comes with the machine, and the first stretch of any ride is a lesson on flat ground. Rain rarely stops a tour. Ice does.

Off-road and nature routes
